Whatever you do, DO NOT JOIN FEDHEALTH

<p>i have just come off a medical aid and searched for a new one. FEDHEALTH promised me a number of things on a cheap plan that impressed me so I joined. I sent them my membership certificate with discovery to show that I just came off a medical aid less than a month ago for continuity. I was then told that they cannot accept claims for the first 4 months but can support my chronic condition in that period which was good enough for me. They have not given me a card but only sent my membership number on a lousy sms. By the time I sent through my chronic application my phone broke so I sent through the chronic application with my Id number and name on the script my doctor wrote. They then responded with my name asking if it is me as they can only pick that up on my ID number even though it's on the script. I confirmed that it is and received no further response. I then called today and the lady told me the script isn't there. So basically they confirmed its me in the email just to leave my script hanging instead of allocate it to my account/file. On hearing my frustration when she asked me to resend it and offered to do the application telephonically and we did so. She then told me that it's on a waiting period for 4 months before they can assess my chronic application and that it needs to be lifted, and that once that is done it will take 48 hours for there to be feedback on the application. </p> <p>So</p> <p>1) I was promised that my condition would be covered during the first 4 months prior to joining FEDHEALTH and now it's an issue</p> <p>2) in my correspondence my identity and membership account was identified for fun so someone could be like "oh okay"</p> <p>3) I had to borrow money to buy m medication as I got severely sick from withdrawal symptom, medication cannot be *****ed around with especially psychiatric medication</p> <p>4) I am going through this fuss to have my query sorted which supposed to be done in the first place, yet who compensates me for this work ?</p> <p> </p> <p>fedhealth is vir jou jas</p> <p> </p> <p>if I knew that FEDHEALTH was about lies and false promises I would have joined discovery again. I find this completely disgusting and that they do not know the true impact such in professional conduct could have coming from a health care provider, while people hustle money for meds while they ***** around. I am not starting to think joining FEDHEALTH was the biggest mistake I made for the new year</p> <p> </p>
