What do you pay?

My Wife had our baby on 8 November 2017. We had a claim for R14 000 for the C-Section and R6405 for the anesthetist . Combined Fedhealth only paid for ~R4000. I find this to be shocking.

You say that you cover 100% of the rate, what is that 100%. I pay ~R3800 a month for my wife and I and the first real time I need to use it, you don't cover anything. I now have to fork out R16 000 for all the things you don't cover. I need to understand what exactly is then the benefit of paying all that money if you don't cover anything?

If the amounts you paid is at the scheme rate, I need to understand what Gynecologist and anesthetist will only charge ~R4000 for the whole procedure or what kind of plan do I need to be on so that you will actually just cover something?
