Waste of money.

I have to have a diagnostic laproscopy urgently with my gynecologist however FedHealth wants a Copayment of R7540?? Where on earth do we just find this and why do we pay such high medical aid fees for to still have to pay such high Copayments? So basically we must go to public hospitals while still paying high fees? I spoke to 5 consultants who all gave me different answers, some saying to get a letter of motivation from my Dr and some just downright rude and saying there's nothing I can do if I don't pay. NO WAY, I am in such horrible pain and cannot be helped. I am so disappointed.
