Wanted to join Fedhealth but they make it absolute impossible to due to their ridiculous rates

I was with Fedhealth in 2016. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my membership. My husband worked overseas, and returned in Sept 2017. We now want to join this medical aid once again, I emailed Nadeem (who now is only an agent for Fedhealth and work for Wellworx) stating that I cannot afford to pay more that R2500.00 for both myself and my husband. Application form was send, and now my membership due to not being on a medical aid for 12 months will be R3600.00. I paid R1500.00 in 2016 just for myself. I was told that membership increases annually, understandable, but with R500.00 per annum??? My husband and myself had been on medical aid for 8 years +, with Medihelp, Medscheme and Fedsure, prior to him accepting and working abroad from 2014 - 2017. Now we get penalized for not being on a medical aid, but we were'nt in the country even.....Why do medical aids make it so difficult for every day people to join or even to be on a medical aid?
