Waiting period

<p>I was highly recommended by close friends and family to join Fedhealth as they offer good plans and are very sufficent and i was very unhappy with the medical aid i was on at the time. I then gave notice to my medical aid in September 2016 to join Fedhealth from 1 December 2016. We were accepted (We as in myself, husband and 4 year old son) But a general 3 month waiting period was imposed meaning we can only use our benefits from 1 March 2017. I queried this as i felt is was unacceptable as we are joining straight from another medical aid (all of us) to one with no gaps in between and we had all been on a medical aid for years. there seemed to be a massive lack of interest in even trying to assist to waiver the waiting period, even if it was just for my son as my friend who recommended it also left her med aid to join fedhealth and she had no waiting period. As of today i am extremely unwell but cannot see a doctor due to this simple thing and i feel paying nearly R3500.00 per month it is actually disgusting</p>
