USELESS MEDICAL AID
I'm due to go for a procedure tomorrow that my surgeon said I need to go for due to a growth on my back. This growth in 1cm away from my spine. It's causing a lot of pain. Now both the hospital (Mulbarton) & the surgeon (Dr Rawlins) are on the Fedhealth network. These idiots expect me to pay the hospital a co-payment of R6500 but the hospital bill will be R9500 as this is a day case.
How can they expect me to pay 68% of a hospital bill if the facility is network.

20 Jan 2020, 11:59I spoke to dr Rawlins & he confirmed the actual code is 4945 but Fedhealth doesn't want to load the code but prefer paying a delete/discontinued code which is 0311. Is this the way you can get around paying valid claims & throw your rules at members.
