Totally misled about chronic medication cover

<p>I was contacted by the scheme in July 2016 to take the medical aid. My most important question to the sales consultant Arlon was if hypertension is covered and he said yes. I was asked to obtain a script from my doctor and then I called the medical aid and gave them the name of medication as well as amount of mg. I was told that there will only cover 40% as that's there rule. I then advised them that I had spoken to Arlon and then he contacted me. He advised me that I had to obtain the medication at a medirite pharmacy. So by this time I had to take the first script for my husband and pay a co payment. </p> <p>So this month I go to medirite pharmacy and I am told there is a co payment. </p> <p>This is totally unfair as I would have not taken the medical aid in the first place. I was on Wooltru medical aid for the past 4 years and they covered it with no co paymentand so did discovery keycare</p> <p> </p> <p>i am totally disgusted about this as we are in desperate need of the medication and now I am left stranded. </p> <p>My current contribution for myself and my family of 4 is R3910, and my chronic medication is not covered . </p>
