*******- They will ***** your money
I have emailed the attached complaint to the ombudsman for medical schemes and I have emailed it to the newspapers as well, because I am tired of Fedhealth and this ********* behavior, your staff is *********** and don't know what they are doing. They either do not give the appropriate information or they dont give information at all. I have attached all my correspondence and proof that I have and I am going to take Fedhealth to the small claims court as well.
Good day,
I trust this email finds you well?
I would like to lodge a formal complaint against Fedhealth Medical Scheme, I have attached all the email correspondence for ease of reference as well as the online chats that I had with various consultants at the scheme. The details of my complaint is as follows:
On the 03rd January 2018 I received a statement from Fedhealth with the status that I have been “terminated” from the scheme as well as that I owe them R1236.25. I contacted the scheme and requested feedback about the R1236.25 as well as the terminated status. I was advised that I am liable for the R1236.25 because Fedhealth had allocated more funds to me than was due to me and because my husband was only added to the medical aid in October 2018, and that the terminated status referred to the fact that my option changed from Maxima Entry Saver to Flexi fed.
I advised them that I called the option change call centre in October 2018 who advised that the maxima entry saver would change to the flexi fed (basically a name change) and that the savings would then have to be transferred out of the medi vault. I also advised that that I was never contacted either via telephone, email or post to advise that too much savings was allocated to me.
On the 10 January 2019 was the first time I was sent a brochure with regards, to the Flexi fed 1 and it was only sent through to me because I lodged a complaint on Hello Peter (I have attached the email for ease of reference). Because I no longer trusted anything that Fedhealth or their consultants said I contacted them on the 24.01.2019 to make sure that I was on the flexifed elect option as that is the option that I chose within the option change period in October 2018 (email attached as well). I was advised by the consultant that their was an error on their systems and the options was changed to the normal Flexifed instead of the flexifed 1 and that she would send a request through for the option to be changed to my initial choice and because my debit order is on the 25th of each month she would request that they refund me the difference between what will be debited and what I was supposed to pay. Ref number given to me 240119Q6TH5W.
On the 25th,28th and 31st January 2019 I followed up about the refund and was told in writing that I would received it, then today I receive an email from Amore advising that I will no longer be refunded and that the amount of R1041.25 would be credited to the amount of R2030.13 that I still owe Fedhealth. I don’t know where the R2030.13 comes from I was never told about this amount either and my medical aid is not in arears.
Kindly please assist with matter.
