<p>Good day </p> <p> </p> <p>Fedhealth practice bad business practices and don't know what sort of business they conduct in the manner of ******** more money on people. Last year was medical membership was terminated due to outstanding fees and accepted from that period we kept having issues on fees as I ended up deciding to terminate my memebership where I address the matter to the obusman of the company. Fedhealth sent me a message stating that to complete the closour between I and them I need to pay R184 which I did make the payment and even extended the payment to R200.00 which is more than the R13.26 of the actual claim. Yesterday I received an email from the company:</p> <p> </p> <p>Practice number : ********** </p> <p> </p> <p>Dear DR. E.S. SIKHOSANA</p> <p> </p> <p>Outstanding balance due to Fedhealth Medical Scheme</p> <p>New Amount Due: R319.16</p> <p> </p> <p>· The outstanding balance on your account is due to a reversal of claims for Mr. P. V. Litshani( ********** 4297) for treatment received from the 06th September 2016.</p> <p> </p> <p>· Kindly note that this debt rose after we reversed claims for Mr. P. V. Litshani, Termination date of membership is: 31stJuly 2016; due to nonpayment of contributions.</p> <p> </p> <p>· When the scheme reversed this claim no funds were debited off your bank account therefore we kindly request that you refund Fedhealth the balance due.</p> <p> </p> <p>· Fedhealth prides itself in following standard and legal procedures when it comes to debt collection and all our processes have been pre - approved by the Council of Medical schemes.</p> <p> </p> <p>For ease of reference; please find herewith attached extract of Section 59 of the Medical schemes Act – refer to point 3(a) and Mr. P. In August the medical aid rejected treatment of my daugter when she went to the doctor how is it that it accepted a claim in September after turning down a claim a month before.
