Removing FP from Panel

<p>I have been with Fedhealth for 4 years no, no choice of mine its the preferred Medical Aid scheme for the company i work for. Recenty its been a new thing that everyone has to choose a nominated doctor and also only allowed to go to dentists and other practitioners that are on the panel as drawn up by the Medical Scheme. I have no problem with this, what would like to know is why and who decides to remove practisioners and not advise either the members or the practisoners. The frist time you find out about this is once you have made an appointment been to see the doc and get an unpaid account. When asking why all you get is an explanation that the doc/dentist you saw is not on their panel, you get a copy of all docs that you are able to now go see but still sit with the unpaid account. Now its off to a new doc who requires news test etc which is not covered by the Medical Aid scheme - yet more costs you have to cover, and next year they remove this doc from their panel. I really find this unacceptable and unfair. I have tried to get a response from Fedhealth but still nothing. maybe someone out there can respond, and also advise how we as the public can put a stop to Medical Aid Scheme's choosing who and when they want to work with certain practioners.</p>
