Provisional Medical Tax Certificates

Fedhealth Medical Scheme is not able to provide provisional income tax certificates in the case of a deceased estate. Compared to Discovery Health who was able to provide the same in four working days and understand exactly what you requested. According to Fedhealth, the executor, has to wait until June/July when the annual income certificates are distributed. Fedhealth seems not to understand that a deceased has to submit a tax return before the deceased estate can be finalised. If you are a member of Fedhealth and you died in April 2019, be careful, your executor has to wait until June 2020, before he will be able to your last tax return. Before you died - please change your Medical Scheme if you are with Fedhealth.
