PREGNANCY COVER

I was asked to supply blood results (which I have 1 week ago) to investigate if Fedhealth will cover my pregnancy. Even though there were NO waiting periods stipulated on my membership when joining. I don’t however understand why there is a even an investigation. As per e mails received when joining I was officially accepted as a Member on 9 January 2019. How would this possibly have been pre planned if I am only 5 weeks pregnant. Meaning I fell pregnant way after signing up.

I moved directly from Bonitas (who would have covered for my pregnancy) to Fedhealth as I wasn’t happy with the contribution fees increase in January 2019 at Bonitas. I was not aware that I was pregnant until Sunday, 24/02/2019. Now I am being told that there is a possibility that Fedhealth won’t cover my pregnancy. This is unacceptable is there were also NO waiting periods stipulated on my membership certificate. When I spoke to a consultant when signing up he also mentioned that there will be no waiting period as I will be going directly from one medical aid to another (as there were no gaps where I wasn’t covered).

ONE WEEK AND NO RESPONSE OM THE BELOW QUERY. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! I CALL THE CALL CENTRE EVERY DAY AND GET NO FOLLOW UP OR FEEDBACK. I AM FED UP AND NEED ANSWERS. AS A WOMAN IN HER EARLY PREGNANCY I CANNOT BE STRESSING ABOUT THIS EVERYDAY! I NEED ANSWERS A.S.A.P.!
