Poor service delivery. The patients' illness and ICD10 changed by the scheme. The accounts department of Mediclinic, Bloemfontein is in continual contact. The patient (a cancer fighter) experience harassment as the matter is not solved or even being tried
My husband was diagnosed with 2 cancers nearly 5 years ago. From January this year the oncology department approved 6 treatments of chemo and the hospital authorization management team change (by themselves) the illness' name and ICD10 code to something he never had. All I received for my inquiry via email on 8 March was an automated reply: Your query number is: 080320QY4SY2. Since January the chemo of 3 months were not paid. No help at all, so the hospital holds the patient accountable. As it is, the patient is worried about his health and the hospital account that rises every month. I was once told that Fedhealth is the "Mercedes" of medical schemes. I beg to differ.
