outstanding billing after cancellation

good day, i cancelled our medical aid as at end april 2015 and have been receiving threatening emails and sms advising that i have been handed over due to outstanding accounts. i have had a clean account with fedhealth for years and due to it getting too expensive cancelled to take out cheaper option. i advised all our service providers that a three month waiting period after april was implemented where i was to pay cash for medical expenses while waiting for new m/aid to kick in. if a supplier has forwarded account on to medical aid to be paid surely its not my problem as as far as i am aware i have paid for it and also why is the accounts not blocked after cancellation. i had to pay in 2912.oo which apparently was overpayment on fedhealth account and i settled it but not happily. then the following month another 931.00 and a sms from debt collector to say i have been handed over to the credit bereau. iam horrified that they donot have the decency to check my history with their accounts dept before handing me over. i am truly dissapointed in your ability to handel clients and we were hoping to when we were financially in a better position to reaply with fedhealth but not<br>
