Optical claim payed out of wallet (even though it is a core benefit)
I have been struggling to get Fedhealth to cover an Optical benefit for the past 6 weeks. I am on Flexi3 and the benefit is clearly covered as per their brochure, yet they still deducted the amount from my savings in my wallet. As a result, I am now also fighting to get the money returned into my wallet. I am utterly disappointed by the poor service, which has cost me time and money.

02 Oct 2019, 20:26Thank you for finally rectifying the problem. It is just a shame that it almost took 7 weeks to resolve. I want to thank Gugu Matroshe-Bango for her role in the process.
I have found communicating with Fedhealth frustrating, because you do not have any direct contact numbers or email addresses and I was forced to correspond via the general Fedhealth email or client services. I ended up spending far too much time having to explain the same situation to several Fedhealth staff (the previous staff member were almost never available when I wanted to speak to them). I would suggest that complicated cases (like mine) be handled by an specific individual. This would avoid confusion and hasten resolving the issue at hand.
