Not to be trusted

Worst scheme ever, I will not recommend this medical scheme to anyone. My husband got into an accident at home where he broke his hand. On the day he fell we just thought it was just a miner thing. So when he couldn't sleep I just decided to go to the emergency room immediately it was early hours of Monday morning 26June 2023. After all the ex-rays taken it was determined that he broke his radial head and needed immediately surgery. He wasn't operated immediately cause we had just eaten something and his surgery was scheduled for the following day Tuesday. Mind you the stress levels are high cause my daughter had to go back to varsity and I had to make sure she didn't miss her fight. So whilst we are waiting for him to be taken to the ward I get an SMS telling me that I might not be covered for certain procedures. I immediately call and asked them why would they send this message upon hearing my story that this is an emergency they then treated my claim as an emergency. But what I asked the call center agent was if I'm in my dying bad who will confirm all these details. The hospital can decide not to continue with the procedure because of billing issues......I was so disgusted and actually wanted to cancel immediately. Hubby get to do the operation and it was successful and how I'm still getting messages about claims not being paid because the call center agent didn't really put my claim as an emergency as per our previous conversation on the call. Fast forward to today 07 August 2023 on the debit date one institution double debited me and I see this when I get a message from my bank that medical aid is not paid. I immediately called the people that double debited me and they said money should be back on my account on the 28July 2023 indeed it was. Upon me releasing that thier debit order bounced I called them explain and told the I will eft the funds, indeed I did. On the second of August my son had flue and took him to GP and today my second son also now has flue. I'm checking if there is sufficient funds on my wallet and I see membership suspended!!! Explain to me why? These medical scheme are quick to take the money but when you have to use them as you have intended. They will make your life a living hell.... I'm so fed up and really would not advise anyone to use them cause they are the worst..... It's a ****
