No Reimbur*****t for out of pocket payment - despite validity of claim and proof provided
<div>On 9 July I was scheduled for a minor procedure to be performed at Mediclinic. I obtained the necessary hospital authorisation but was informed that there would be a co-payment of R4400 (R1523.99 more than the actual cost of the procedure). The co-payment was because Fedhealth claimed this procedure could be performed in a doctor's office - This is theoretically true, if the necessary equipment is available in office, which was not the case so, the only option was to perform it in theatre. I was however informed that should the procedure prove a chronic condition exists - the co-payment would no longer apply. I was advised to pay the co-payment and would then be able to claim it back which I did. I have since sent through numerous requests for reimbur*****t but all my e-mails are being ignored. I have provided them with the correct Invoice, proof of payment and letter from the Surgeon who performed the procedure, proving the chronic condition, yet Fedhealth still ignores my e-mails. Furthermore Fedhealth's call centre is completely *********** and unable to deal with the most simple requests. The senior management are the only people who are able to assist but they are impossible to get hold of because the *********** call centre agents are too afraid to admit when they are unable to assist - This is by far the worst medical aid ever and only concerned with lining their own pockets at the expense of long standing loyal clients.</div>
Since Fedhealth has decided to become a lying and *****ing medical scheme, I am happy to respond to their so called feedback and inform them that I will no longer be a member of such a ********ly inclined medical aid. Thanks for nothing Fedhealth - may your demise into obscurity be swift. Be assured that I will henceforth do my utmost to desuade everyone I meet from joining your thieving scheme.
