No help at all

So today my dad got a torn hernia and went to the hospital. Apparently when you move from one medical aid to this one there is a 3 month waiting period even in an emergency like his. He waited from 10am to 5pm for authorization, called them over twenty times and the private hospital also tried with no luck. The emergency line is no help at all. They just said that he should call during working hours. What is the point of a medical aid when you can't even get help for an emergency. This is just so pathetic 🙄
