NO COMMUNICATION, NO RESPONSE, NO JOY
I am exasperated with Fedhealth over the unacceptable treatment of my latest problem. 1) The email to Fedhealth of 3 May 2019 sets out the details. "I have just received my pension payment advice for April and note the change in the contribution . I hasten to confirm that is has always been my intention to adopt the FlexiFed4elect option for 2019. 1] I conveyed acceptance of this option online just before the end of November 2018. 2] Unfortunately I have now noticed that I inadvertently reflected FlexiFedGrid on my first Medivault application form. 3] Contributions were correctly claimed from my pension at R2274 per month for Jan - March 2019. I apologize for the confusion and shall be glad if you can urgently change records and activate a refund of R1696. Yours Truly, Neil GAULD" 2) I received an acknowledgement from their system immediately but no response regarding my actual query. 3) I sent another email on 16 May 2019 requesting confirmation that my correct medical option has been amended, and no response was received. 4) I phoned the call centre on Friday 17 May 2019 and requested that my problem be investigated and someone phone me back, The person persisted in extracting details from me and said he would phone me back with answers on Monday or Tuesday, 20th or 21st. 5) I received an email on Tuesday 21st to say that the matter had been referred to the members department. 6) I received my May monthly statement via email on 6 June 2019 and noted that all transactions of claims paid had been reversed (including chronic medication claims) and the total of R1583.61 is reflected as payable by myself to the scheme, without an explanation of how this can be. The statement also shows my option as "Maxima Advanced" the option I had been on up to 31/12/2018, 7) A critical issue is that the contribution for the "Elect" option is R2274 which they correctly claimed from my Jan, Feb and March 2019 pension, then claimed R3970 from my April 2019 pension being R2698 for the "Grid" option and an adjustment of R424 for three months and this now needs to be adjusted again. 8) There has been no other communication in writing via email or telephone. It seems tragic to me that after continuous membership of a medical aid scheme since 1 January 1980 when I joined Federated Employers Association which became Federated Life Assurance and finally Fedsure, there appears to be not an iota of loyalty recognised.
All I want is for my original option elected ie. FlexiFed4elect to be reinstated as it was in January, February and March 2019 for April, May and going forward at the monthly contribution of R2274. The incorrect amounts that have been deducted in April and May 2019 must be reversed and my claims paid out accordingly including my chronic claims to be paid from risk and not the vault.
