More than Disgruntled, Actually Disgusted!

On the 26 th April 2019 , I expressed my disgust with Fedhealth on Hello Peter regarding the fact that the refused to terminate my debit order for their new Medivault Scheme. They responded to me immediately saying their had been misunderstanding and they said I would be refunded all outstanding out of pocket Hospital and Dichem expenses . So after lengthy telephone conversations from their consultants , I was persuaded that it would not be in my interest to terminate the additional R600 per month that I was paying as I would then have to pay my outstanding hospital expenses myself. Not only did I have this verbal assurance but I also had email confirmation from them that my claims had been reaccepted by Fedhealth and would be refunded to me in my bank account on 7th May. Of course this never happened and despite all of this I was today told I by the call centre that I could speak to the Fedhealth Credit ControlLer who would explain to me why I wasn’t eligible to get my money back, Lies, lies and more lies. I’m left with the only conclusion that Fedhealth will not stop taking my voluntary additional monthly amount no matter what.

As a pensioner I cannot afford this ‘voluntary’ additional amount of R720O and still pay outstanding hospital and pharmacy bills inspire of their written and verbal promises to the contrary, I have today demanded that they cease the debit order for this with immediate effect.

When will their Principal Officer wake up and do something about all us disgruntled members out there? I know I am not alone in this!
