Misrepresentation

My daughter took medical aid as she was turning 21, after speaking to a fedheath representative Neil Coleman and assured her the scheme she is taking will cover her for her pre-condition. She gets seizures and requires regular MRI's and see her specialist Neurologist on a regular basis. I as her mother then wanted to confirm the cover she spoke to him about before her first premium was payable. We sent emails of which e never returned. Almost 2 weeks later I spoke to him and confirmed she will have cover for her medication, specialist and MRI's. I specifically asked him about any co-payments because she cannot afford to pay these. He confirmed nothing of the sort. Now thay she needed to see her specialist we found out there is a process to put her specialist on the schemes preferred list, register for chronic to get her meds covered and co-payments to be paid before the MRI gets done. Have made numerous calls requesting to speak to a manager, who always seem to be out the office. My broker has also bee. Contacting Fedheath to try and see if they can even change the scheme as there was misrepresentation. Fedheath only responds to emails to some general customer service email address. They only listened to the first and not all the other numerous calls and email with the representative to hear everything that was said or rather confirmed falsely. It's so disappointing as we have been with Fedheath for almost 10yrs. I will not let this matter rest, I will take it to every social media platform I can. If I have to get Carte Blanche involved I will.
