mediclinic and fedhealth

I went to stellenbosch mediclinic with kidney stones, on arrival the doctor gave me something for pain and sent me for a scan. The staff asked for my medical card so I gave it. After I was treated I left. Week afterword fedhealth phones me and says I have a penalty for submitting my auhthorisation late but why is it my duty when i am in pain? Its the hospitals duty to make sure that it gets approved and tell me if was approved. To make a long story short. A women phones me a month after words and say its approved now but I need to pay the penalty I asked why is it my problem? She then was rude and said I need to read the booklet to make sure I don't have time when I am in pain. The amount is R1023 but why should I pay for a mistake that was not me? Fedhealth needs to train there ppl over, personally they don't know of client service in my point of view, its not my job to find out what medicine was used on me and how I was treated.<br> <br> <br>
