It's all about your money, baby...

It is absolutely disgusting that this medical aid (like all others, really) continues to priorities profits over the health and wellbeing of its members. I am clearly not the only one here who realised that this company relies on members not knowing their rights. When a healthcare provider confirms a PMB diagnosis, that treatment MUST be covered by LAW (Medical Schemes Act 131 of 1998 - Regulation 8), regardless of which medical aid you use or what plan you are on.

This company? They don’t give a **** about you. Customer service is non-existent; you’re forced to deal with useless reps or an even more useless AI bot because god forbid you actually try to call them (which isn't possible, btw). This required me to have frequent talks with my broker and I even saw an independent consultant in person who deals with every major medical aid. Yet, I continue to get the same gold standard response you’ve come to expect in a country like this: "eish, I don't know what's going on, sorry.." My medical professional even had to intervene personally multiple times to no avail, despite us following every procedure to the letter. It was only when we mentioned that we would be involving the CMS that something "miraculously" must have happened since the money I had been fighting for finally started hitting my account. I wonder why...?!

But the cycle of abuse doesn't end because here we go again. I just received a notification that my latest claim was processed, only to be smacked with another "F you" the moment I logged in. Payment denied. So I guess it's back to square one where they basically tell you "We aren't paying anymore because we don't feel like it," even though I still have sessions left and a legal right to receive care.

This is an establishment that abuses its power to line the pockets of its leadership and stakeholders. No wonder the public is getting fed up with multi-billion $$$ corporations because you don't have to look far to see the global backlash against healthcare greed (UnitedHealth - Brian Thompson ring a bell...?) This is only a clear sign that people are finished with being exploited while they are vulnerable and need the care that they are entitled to receive.

Fedhealth's an exact copy of a truly morally bankrupt and ****ed up company that only wants your hard earned money that you might literally have to break your body to receive just to make ends meet... It is really sickening...
