How low can Fedhealth's moral compass go!!

Fedhealth medical scheme use to be a reputable medical scheme that I trusted. They use to be a no nonsense company with no point system because as they are not there to give you points or discount on products but the premium you pay is for the service, that when you need them, to pay medical expenses, they are there for you! My how this turned out to be the most inaccurate statement that a sales consultant has ever made!! I use to be with Fedhealth for almost 8 years, I used them 3 times in this period. Once for a MRI, long time ago and they sorted me out. But in the last year, my baby had to go do a special tooth fusion due to a nasty accident and the REFUSED to pay! Then I had to reduce the length of my Ulna that meant cutting it half, cutting out a peace and rejoining it with what I now know as an internal prosthesis and after approval was given they once again refused to pay for the prosthesis! My total bill for year end 2020 over and above my monthly amount paid to them diligently without fail every month for 8 years, was more than R40 000. Unexpected I might add! Yet now, in September 2020 I will still get a bill for R60 from them, threatening me to “take legal action” should I not pay the R60 within 15 days! Signed by Chanelle van Zyl! Pathetic Fedhealth! Remember, karma, what you put out is what will come back!! Go look in your account, the R60 has been paid, but forever I will warn people against fedhealth!!

So the consultant has been in touch with me, only to inform me that she has spoken to finance, to check if they really need to collect a R60 outstanding amount. Guess what they said? They collect and hand people over from and amount of R50 and over so yes, the need payment and will collect!

How can one company miss the mark so badly! My suggestion will be that if you are with Fedhealth, get out! they way they are doing business will only mean that there future is in jeopardy!

One thing is certain, word of mouth is still the most powerful form of marketing and clearly they do not care, so I will continue to spread the word!
