HELD HOSTAGE

I've had no claim with this medical aid for more than a year. I resigned last week and was told me there would be a 30 day notice period after handing in the proper documentation. The call center was AWARE that this was a group medical aid. Today I'm informed (by my employer, not my medical aid) that I will be forced to be on this medical aid FOR THREE MORE MONTHS!! simply because those are the rules for group medical aid, that NO ONE BOTHERED MENTIONING when I called about cancellation. If I had quit my job, this won't apply, but because I'm only quitting the medical aid, I have to just accept this? You are exploiting your customers!!
