I'm paying more monthly so that we can go to any hospital, but still they will only pay max R 5 000.00 for a c-section, and R 2 200.00 for anesthesia. And they will give you the same excuse over and over " we paying scheme rates" What gynecologist only charges R 5 000.00 for a c-section?? For Fedhealth it is all about how much money they can milk from their clients, they don't care about their clients. It is all about the money. And then there is all of the stuff you have to pay for from your savings/wallet, which you pay for yourself as well. Rather think of Fedhealth as a pyramid scheme instead of a medical aid, you invest a lot of money each month. But when you want to cash out, you will be bitterly disappointed with what they will pay you back. And the excuse you will get, "we pay our scheme rate" The rates the back alley doctor's charge in Hillbrow maybe.
