Fedhealth - worst medical aid AND company in general.
See my last two reviews for reference to this review. I feel this review just drives home how shocking Fedhealth is.
After finally having my medical aid cancelled (after reaching out to the Principle Officer of Fedhealth under advice from the medical scheme ombudsman, and cautioning that I will be taking this further legally if need be), the problem was quickly resolved. It should never have needed to go that far. For simpler clarity of what happened next I have put it in points:
- I emailed Fedhealth asking them to clarify where I stand in regards to fees. I received a query reference number, however I never heard back from them on my email. - I received an email with a member statement showing that I owed another month's payment despite being informed I would not need to for March. - I contacted Fedhealth to query this; the consultant then advised that this was due to their system not registering that I have been cancelled yet, as it was still sitting in wait at their accounts department. - I was then told that he could see on the system that I was actually OWED R3747, less R297 for overuse on savings; but that this would be offset on the payment due to me, leaving R3450, and that I will receive this payment after my journal has been attended to. - I requested this in writing from him (I have had emails sent to me from the consultant after telephonic conversations before); I was told that he was unable to do that (not true). And I suspected it was because Fedhealth once again would not be true to their word or short-pay. - I requested the consultants name and the call reference number (since this was a problem in the past and calls were irretrievable). I can, however, almost guarantee that Fedhealth will tell me it is the incorrect reference number since they are dishonourable and constantly backtrack their consultant's words. - I received a second email detailing a different amount. No real clarification on how the amounts came to be. No mention of the figures given to me telephonically. - Today I received payment of R2260, short-paid by R1190, in accordance with the amount given to me during my telephonic conversations.
This is clearly no surprise, and I would like people to know that even in their last chance to amend their image, Fedhealth, still falls shockingly below adequate. They are very rarely able to keep to their word. You will almost always get different information from them on the same issue. Nothing runs smoothly when dealing with a matter.
Overall Fedhealth is the worst COMPANY I have ever dealt with, let alone medical aid, but that too.
Fedhealth PLEASE don't bother contacting me for this review - I know that each time all I get is excuses and a bigger headache. I am choosing to leave it as is, since nothing will actually change my view of you.
Any further conflict or problems I face due to you will be commented on this post and detailed in further reviews, so please leave me alone.
