FEDHEALTH : THE WORST MEDICAL ! ! !

I had my wisdom teeth extracted a month ago, but the biggest pain experienced was dealing with fedhealth.

Firstly their network does not cover a maxillo-facial ( specialist to remove wisdom teeth) surgeon in Durban. Closest is Shellybeach or Pietermaritzburg. Im sure if they did some research they would realize that people in Durban have wisdom teeth problems.......who is going to compensate me for this additional time lost for consultations etc? Secondly their so called network specialist appoints an anesthesiologist that is not part of the network, only found this out minutes before the procedure. So i accepted this as it was to late to turn back. The network specialist should know the limitations of the medical aid !!!!!! Now time to process claims, they use every single excuse to reject claims. - They paid R 359.00 of R6600.00 anesthesiologist claim. - Rejected pathologist claim. - Rejected part of maxillo facial surgeon claim. - There is a co-payment for hospital which is acceptable as its standard procedure.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MEDICAL AID SERVICE PROVIDER TO ANYONE AS IT HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE , STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE AND I AM GOING TO CANCEL IF I DO NOT GET AN ACCEPTABLE RESOLUTION.
