Fedhealth taking double payment and not authorising Hospital procedures
Please stay away from Fedhealth. They were the most wonderful Medical Aid, until January this year. My first bad experience was that I requested a list of Network Hospitals from them. From the time I requested the list and made the appointment with the Specialist they removed the hospital I picked and their response is just “the list is subject to change”. There was only 26 days between obtaining the list and seeing the Specialist. Now I need to have a second GP appointment , a second Specialist visit and no guarantee that the remaining Network Hospitals will still be on the list by then. Between the additional days I need to take leave, the double GP and Specialist fee and extra petrol, this is a very expensive exercise. Now after I’ve moved the procedure to a Network Hospital Fedhealth does not want to cover for the procedure which they now claim is a repeat procedure even though the we never proceeded with the first one (the procedure is to have something removed for which a human only has one such part, how a repeated removal of this part will happen goes beyond my understanding).
The worst part was when R7,000 disappeared from my bank account this morning. Fedhealth indeed took a double direct debit this morning.
I am so fed up with them. Their app is not working, their website is useless and their call centre a mess. There is no way of getting hold of them to sort out the mess they are causing.
What they are doing is ******** in my opinion. Taking R7,000 by mistake from my account is steeling.
Please just stay away as far possible. The Fedhealth they used to be no longer exists.
