Fedhealth shocking medical cover

A dismal medical aid organisation! After 2 major shoulder surgeries within one year I am experienced enough to state without any doubt that Fedhealth has to be the worst medical service provider in SA. Despite pre-authorisation (that took them 2 months to complete) Fedhealth only covered 10% (yes, ten percent) of my orthopaedic surgeon `s costs and only 30% of my anaesthetists costs, leaving me out of pocket for 10`s of thousands. Further, they rejected physiotherapy post-op until I had to fight them to understand that it was prescriptive to provide cover in their scheme rules. Fedhealth are happy to charge very high monthly premiums yet leave their members out of pocket when the time comes for medical cover. Shocking organisation. I will move elsewhere
