FEDHEALTH SAVINGS
I have been with FedHealth for a few years now. I currently pay R5306.00 per month, which amounts to R63672.00. My savings for myself and my 2 kids for the year is R11472.00. then you have a rediculous threshold amount you have to try get to before you can have proper use of your medical aid.
The reason for my rant, is beacuse it is not even the end of March, and my medical is depleted yet again. Winter has not even started and I was already told this morning that I need to pay in to collect my medicine and my son's medicine at Dischem. Medicine which we both need, which FedHealth does not want to put onto chronic for us. So how do I now go about getting this medicine???
I have been to the dentist twice, which came out of savings, and my one son to the doctor once, and my other son has been a about 3 times. my youngest is the one with the chronic issues as well as myself.
Now its fantastic that you can go to a doctor and all, and that is covered, but did you know that getting that medicine that the doctor has given you the script for can cost up to R1800.00. Now I for one, do not have that type of money in the middle of the month.
Each and every year my medical aid is depleted by March/April. I don't know how to deal with Fedhealth anymore. For me they are not a family medical aid who are focused on family, beacuse if that was the case, then I wouldn't be sitting in the position I am at the moment.
Can anyone out there suggest a medical aid that actually is better, and who's dentistry comes out of dentistry, optical out of optical, etc, because with this one, everything comes out of savings.
Thank you for your comment, we will do some investigating and an agent will be in touch shortly.
