Fedhealth- not true to their word

My mom was admitted to hospital in Mossel Bay by her cardiologist on suspicion of pulmonary embolism. Despite motivation by the cardiologist, fedhealth said the hospital was not a ‘DSP’ and that she should drive 5 hours to the nearest one in Cape Town. This contradicts what a Fedhealth agent (named Marlin) had told her, which was that the they would accept a nearer hospital should there be no DSP within 50km. She was made to pay a large co-payment and Fedhealth has no interest in making good on their word.
