Fedhealth-no management, no escalation, no common sense - SOE-like
No escalation and no common sens or common decency - After writing mail after mail, all we get back ( sometimes) is an automatic acknowledgement that they have received it . There is NO escalation path, no management contact and nobody taking responsibility. They close the "cases" you log without informing you and with no resolution, their website is the absolute worst ( eg. when you try to log a call it gives you one line to write in which scrolls in the background, you can never see what you have already written, you cannot resize or make the small one line window larger, the absolute most third-world backward web design I have seen in my whole life) At some stage they sent me an acknowledgement that a case logged is open more than 3 days and that it is being escalated, lo and behold, it got closed without resolution and no answers - the "wallet" scheme since beginning 2019 is a **** and just shows clearly how they befuddled ( read ^&%&*^%*) you in the past as well. Now the full medical aid (almost R4000pm) is WORSE than just a hospital plan, nothing is covered seemingly. Back to the main point, there is no ESCALATION path whatsoever. If somebody reads this trying to decide which medical aid to get, , do yourself a favour and check escalation out before you touch this third-world South African SOE...
No contact detail where I can talk to somebody with some common sense and sense of dedication.

It is a serious shame that a member in good standing has to resort to *****ing on Hello Peter to get some phone calls back. No apologies received for the fact that the irrational Fedhealth "call system" or query system whatever you want to call it, is just a place where your logged requests get "closed" and marked "resolved" without ANY I repeat without ANY feedback about the subject matter. Also NO acknowledgement that management of Fedhealth is too aloof and high and mighty to get involved with simple members. The ONLY contact that was made by Fedhealth was from the Fedhealth HelloPeter "team" - their own admission. Not a single email back or anything of substance until today, a month later.
I received an email now with the confirmation that VERY LITTLE ( if anything) is covered outside of hospital and nothing of for example expensive hearing aids accumulates to the so-called threshold, ( quote from their reply: "RULES re in/out of hospital" = hospital cover only). So we will surely cancel as the Fedhealth "full benefit medical aid" is just an extremely expensive hospital plan as virtually nothing else is covered. The wallet scheme has been thus proven to be a hoax whereby you must pay back every cent and it also proved that the previous years' "savings" was actually only a way to make the member pay for everything as well.
As I understand it now, the wallet is just a way to make a loan from Fedhealth and you have a year to pay the money back, this repayment gets added to your monthly premium which in our case is already about R7500 per month for two people. Ouch we have been stupid, at least they covered most of an ICU stay in 2017... Like insurance i guess, not like a medical aid.
