Fedhealth Medical Aid CO-Payment
I have been a member from 1998, our medical aid increased every year as normal, last year i was retrenched in October, i have managed to reduce my medical aid to a lesser amount, from R 8000 to R 5000, by changing packages our level of hospitals have pres elected by the fund, this means you as a member are responsible for the short fall to be paid to the supplier/institution, recently i had to see a doctor at Linmed for wisdom teeth to be removed due to the pain it has caused, the Doctor advised it will be suitable to remove all 4, we have arranged all requirements including with Fedhealth, i have transfer funds to the wallet of Fedhealth for the co-payments that had to be made, i have been informed by Linmed that i only need to have a letter stating the funds are available.
At t linmed on Saturday the 30 Nov 2019 it was advised that the letter does not provide proof of the funds available and a cash co-payment must be made before booking me in for the operation, after a F@#$%$#@k argument i took money which was for the medical aid and paid Linmed, once FedHealth have paid me i can place this back into the account for my monthly medical payment.
Please bear-in-mind i have been a client for more than 20 years and Fedhealth is not willing to assist in any way, my medical aid have been frozen until payments have been ****, i have explained the issue i have and i am awaiting for the payment from Fedhealth as to pay the account, my wife must obtain her treatment for her Cancer and they do not and will not assist, the Client liaising officer advised that i need to issue a letter stating the requirements before they are even looking at my situation. Fedhealth have been taken over thru a different Company at this stage.
