FedHealth is not about saving lives but killing critical new members
Today, my sister who is a member of FedHealth Medical scheme was denied authorization for admission at Unitas Hospital whilst in a critical condition with serve respiratory problems after being in the emergency ward in the resuscitation section because her member only commenced beginning of October. I would understand if it was an elective procedure, but her oxygen levels were so low that she had to be connected to two sources of oxygen whilst at Unitas then she gets transferred to Kalafong after waiting almost 3 hours for the ambulance only to arrive in the Kalafong resuscitation ward end find no bedding and no door awaiting her and a call had been made to the physician at Kalafong. People’s lives are being messed around with here. When someone is in a critical condition and is part of a medical aid, ****it save their damn lives. What of her 3 kids because FedHealth is only looking a making profits. If anything happens to her, I will be coming after your organization legally and you can count on that.
I took I it upon myself to call FedHealth to try an established who tried to call me and I was put through to the authorization call centre. Unfortunately for me, the agent had no idea about the review in this platform and I had to recite my sister’s experience all over again.
Her response to be is that she doesn’t want to be involved in this business and regardless of the critical state my sister was in, if she had not been on a medical aid for a certain period then critical or not hospital authorization would be denied.
I would never advise anyone to join FedHealth Medical Scheme, because you will die whilst their sole purpose is to provide you with medical services more so if one is critical.
So to FedHealth it money over lives, they are no different from all the other ******* in this country. Money is the driver and not the members health.
