FedHealth Inhuman towards my 77 year old mom

<p>My Parents moved from BestMed to Fedhealth aproximately 4 years ago. They are on one of their top plans and paying more than R7000 per month. My Mom desperately needs a knie replacement and is in tremendous pain. She can barely walk and lies in bed crying most of teh day. FedHealth is dragging their feet with the approval and have so many new rules and is making very hard on them to get an authorisation number. They are scared and vunerable and Fedhealth does not give a damn. I understand there are peopl abusing medical aids and send their kids to the****** because they are not holding a pen properly, but this is different. This is a 77 year old woman in a lot of pain, the orthopedic surgeon says she needs a knee replacement and yet FedHealth seems to duck and trying to get out of it. They now wnat Physio as*****ts etc etc. It is torture for my Mom to go trough all of that not to mention emotionally at 77 how scared she is.<br /><br />I think it is inhumane. These may be your policies, but they are pro shareholders and not pro your members. You have become so greedy and forgot to use commen sense....<br /><br />I'm also with Fedhealth, and we both pay our premiums on time every month and yet when you really need them, they duck and dive.<br /><br />This is expensive PRIVATE medical care, not socialised medicine where panels get to decide where a patient gets good care or not.<br /><br />This is REAL PAIN and REAL FEAR.... NOT NICE !!!! SHAME ON YOU !</p>
