FedHealth Greed and No Care
Howz this for greed, an 80 year old lady was issued a policy by a FedHealth consultant that is “ideal” for a Young, Healthy Family Start up. How is it even possible for such a policy to be issued to an EIGHTY year old lady. This membership has been costing this old lady R4000 a month, she now needs a hip replacement and FedHealth are refusing to pay as she is on a Young, Healthy Family plan that was given to her directly from FedHealth, not even through a broker. This poor old lady has never had a medical claim up until now. Greed, that’s what it is and no real care for members.

30 Oct 2020, 10:01Actually this has not been sorted out at all. FedHealth were quick in calling the day after my post, a very lovely lady called and said they recognize what my complaint is about. Filled in the forms after a couple of calls to FedHealth, some really helpful consultants and some not helpful at all. And today only to receive an email, generic email which contradicts what the helpful first consultant said - FedHealth have declined to update the policy to what it should have been, exactly in line with the very first original policy. FedHealth this is not acceptable, FedHealth are very happy to take huge premiums from an 80 year old lady but refuse to help when help is most needed. This is a disgrace and this is what feeds fuel to the fire as to how greedy and uncaring FedHealth is to their aging members.
