Fedhealth charge co-payments on PMB'S - is this not *******

Fedhealth - Charges co-payments on Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) : When you asked their Call Centre this is apparently as per law possible and you must except this or ask them to review the condition. Problem is they do not respond if you ask them to review. In my case I landed in ICU for a sceptic gall bladder which is obviously a PMB. Fedhealth now charge a R2900 co-payment on the Radioholigy account that was part of the emergency tratment when taken up in ICU. They also have not settled the Specialist's full account as he had to make a surgical cut because of the level of infection when he did the operation - sounds like we first needed approval over and above the approval given when entering ICU. The emergency services in Kleinmond (closed to my home) who identified the emergency as a life threatening via a scan was also not paid because of some Fedheath rule on codes. Please think twice before you use FedHealth as your scheme.
