Fed-up with Fedhealth! # Jan-u-worry

I resigned and moved from one employer to another in November, while at my previous employer, my medical aid was deducting directly from payroll. When I moved, I filled and signed a form that instructed that my medical aid continue and debit directly from my personal account. Started in December for my new role, under the assumption that cover is still on, because I recieved my monthlty statement as per normal. Only on the 23rd of December, was i informaed that my medical aid is terminated and that I was not covered since December. I spent the entire December uncovered and only got re-instated in January after numerous calls, emails, complaints, and discussions. They acknowledged the mistake on theor part and sent me the re-instatement letter in January, however my cover had changed to a different amount with no savngs allocation, like before. They also did not capture my deduction period correctly.

I called to find out whythey have not deducted for January, as I was uneasy from the Dec ordeal, and they only then indicated that they will debit on the laster date, not as per instruction, AND they want to deduct for December ( THAT I HAD NO COVER FOR!!!!!), which is Obsurd!

I then sent them an email days prior to the intended debit period that I am disputing that Dec Debit as through their Cancellation and Resintatement letters, I had no cover for Dec, yet they want to bill me for no coverage.

they debited both amount amounts and I am yet to get feedback for my correspondence, and am currently pursuing the Ombudsman route to get my money back, also checking and comparing quotes with the medical aids.

Ask yourself, in the busy and dangerous festive season, had I or my daughter been seriously had and needed medical attention, was I to only discover then that I have no cover? Moreover, who was then liable for any loss incurred? So why intentionally attempt to claim money for a service not rendered?

Kindly return and reverse the debit for December as it is morally incorrect of you to feel entitled to it!

I resubmitted a form as requested, and am still waiting on the resolution for the above. I have requested feedback and a callback.
Even used the Whatsapp number, was told I am in a queue, to only be timed out. The new billing period is fast approaching while me and my daughter are without cover. :-(
