FEADHEALTH LACK OF CARE FOR 13 YEAR OLD SUFFERING FROM LEUKEMIA

I have been a member of Fedhealth now for many years. My son has been diagnosed with Leukemia in Septermber 2021. He has undergone 4 cycles of chemo. 2 Types of chemo he is allergic to and the last one in January resulted in multi organ failure and septic shock and ended up with an extended stay in ICU.

Fedhealth requested me twice to increase my option. Since I am a single mother I could not afford it at the time they asked me to do it. Now i have made a plan to make a 2 option increase since my son needs for Chemo and a Stem cell transplant. This is his only chance at a cure. Fedhealth so kindly declined by request because it was not within 30 days of his diagnosis!?!? Should I have predicted that he would need these expensive treatments and the doctor would have to fight for approvals all the time? I want to increase so the hospital is on the list and that I pay more but that he gets more cover.

Fedhealth simply does not want more money and they dont care that the life of a 13 year old boy is at stake here!!!! I already lost my fiancee (another dependant on Fedhealth) in 2016 now they seem to want me to lose my son too due to non approval of his treatment AS WELL AS non approval of increasing my option?!!?1?!

I am referring this to the medical aid council. I will not stop fighting for my son due to some stupid issue about 30 days!
