Family takes care of Family - ******* !

My husband and I are on the Maxima Exec option which costs us nearly R10K per month. My husband has terminal cancer and is in and out of hospital every month for polygam (igG) and blood transfusions. Fedhealth are supposed to pay all treatments in hospital but they have got the accounts in such a muddle that the poor hospital is not being paid and is in such a muddle I am not sure what is owing to the hospital now, except that I am now getting Final Demands from Netcare for their unpaid accounts. The authorisations for the IgG were granted until November this year and yet they keep being denied. We have been through the self payment gap which seems intermanable and have reached the Threashold. What happens after you have been through the Theashold? is there No safetynet ?? All th medication for my husband is on an ICD10 code c91.1 for cancer and should be paid for Trying to call them is a nightmare - you hold on for hours and are passed from one department to the other and in the end give up. The Fedhealth statements are a nightmre with so many codes which are mind boggling to tell you why they are not paying for this or that or the other. It is stressful enough having a husband that is dying without having to do battle with Fedhealth to make sure that the service providers and the medicines get paid. There does not appear to be an option either for Patative care. I am stressed and appalled by the service of this company who tell you that Family takes care of Family !!
