'Family cares for family' ........ What a Load of BS!!!

I have been with Fedhealth for Over 4 years now on hospital plan, in that time i have managed to have one incident paid for, When i was actually admitted to hospital. every other emergency room visit has been declined. However, we have been through the run of this and i have accepted that i might not have followed the correct proceedure and paid for these my self. The main reason i have stayed with Fedhealth is due to reputation and some nice options in thier plans, Specifically the statement "You can upgrade to a higher option with more comprehensive benifits anytime of year, but only on diagnosis of a dread disease or in the case of a life changing event". Now, it was not an expected item that i will be diagnosed with something, but the family has history of weird things happening, and i would rather know i have the option.

On the 10th of June I was Diagnosed with such disorder / life event. Which; when you look at the definition of a dread disease "A disease with a significant impact on lifestyle, longevity, which incurs high costs, and/or causes significant and permanent residual morbidity." ; falls both into catagories as stated by Fedhealth. After 3 weeks of back and forth arguments about the requested option change. we have finally reached the point of the change having been approved, however the membership department has not bothered to action it.

Now all i have done for the last Month, is call Fedhealth, been fed false promises, and had to call in almost everytime I wanted an update, and again today i have been told that i will receive information first thing tomorrow morning regarding the option change, a promise that was made to me yesterday and never fufilled.

Fedhealth, a couple thoughts for you:

1. "Family cares for Family" - Rethink this slogan, cause family does not make other members more stressed when in a stressful period in thier life.

2. Don't extend your call centre operating hours to 19h00, if every other department is going to go home at 16h00 and your call centre agents can not do anything to assist your clients.

3. Find a reasonable and SWIFT solution to (a) my option change being processed and (b) making sure that as per my doctors motivation letter, my medication is imediately added to my Chronic benifits without me having to have a further argument with your contact centre

Regards,

One ****ed off Member
