Failure to disclose material information
I recently joined Fedhealth as a new member. After being accepted as a new member and cancelling my previous medical aid (there is no break between the two) I received an email confirming that that I will only be entitled to receive benefits after 3 months of paying the membership fees. This was NEVER disclosed to me during the recorded telephonic consultation and if I had known that this 3 month waiting period would be imposed I NEVER WOULD HAVE JOINED FEDHEALTH. There is no valid reason for them to put me on the 3 month waiting period as I wasn't diagnosed with any disorder or hospitalised in the past year and during the past 20 years I have always belonged to a medical aid. I logged a query on Monday morning with the call centre and was promised feedback the same day or early the next day. It is now Wednesday and I haven't received any feedback whatsoever. I have been a member for less than a week and I am already extremely disappointed! Clearly it is not a priority of Fedhealth to keep new members satisfied. The call reference number is 071215qjt0br.
