EXTREMELY DISGUSTING AND REAP OFF

<p>I have been a member of Fed Health since 2007. When I joined the medical aid I was on a waiting period of 3 months whilst paying for the medical aid. On the 15th of December 2016 I sent my letter of termination, I did not specify the termination date. When I went to collect my medication on the 20th of January 2017 I was told that I could not get my medication because my my membership was terminated.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I called the medical aid to find out what happened because I made a payment on the 27th of December 2016. A guy by the name of Mandla told me the payment I did was for December 2016, the medical aid works in arrears.</p> <p> </p> <p>My husband spoke to the supervisor who said the same thing. He then asked that if he pays on the 1st of each month, will he paying for that month or the previous month. Mandla's supervisor said if you pay on the 1st of Feb you are paying for Feb but if you pay in the middle of the month like I do, on the 27th, you pay in arrears. Then I am seriously confused because I was paying on the 1st and when it was weekends or public holidays, they would take their money very late so I then decided to make my own stop order that definately, holiday or not, I pay on the 27th.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was on their communicator and still they say we not covered and yet, I opaid in December. Why did they termninate me on the 31st December when they could terminate me end of Jan 2017 because I did not specify when they should terminate? What made them think I am okay with terminating in December?</p> <p> </p>
