Excuses not to pay !!!

Fedhealth is refusing to refund me on a GP visit that I am entitled to. On my hospital plan each member of my family gets one free GP a year, we have used this for a few years with no problems. I went to see my GP a few weeks ago and now Fedhealth are refusing to refund me because they say the code given is not an ICD10 code that they pay for. The GP diagnosed me with Non-organic insomnia which Fedhealth claims falls under a psychiatric code and therefore not covered as a GP visit.

Fedhealth must stipulate in their brochures that the one free GP visit excludes certain diagnosis from the Doctor. It just states one GP visit per member per year. The cover is one free GP visit and I went to the GP!

I am absolutely shocked! Fedhealth is just like all the other Medical aids that will find any excuse not to pay out!

Their slogan is 'Family takes care of family" What a joke!
