Dental pathology tests not covered under hospitalisation

I had an abscess in my higher jaw. My infection was so high my blood pressure spiked extremely high. I was hospitalised and admitted for surgery. Dr ordered blood tests to see what antibiotic to give because of the infection. He sent away samples of the discharge as well as standard procedure. He did motivate all of this and it was sent to Fedhealth twice for review. They refused to pay for pathology tests. Although I was hospitalised, the claim was rejected because Fedhealth's reply said they do not pay for Dental pathology under hospitalisation. I do not see this in the benefits list anywhere!! I am on FLexiFED 4 grid. The Maxifacial surgeon and the hospital was part of the Fedhealth Network. Where is this documented and who was supposed to inform me before doing the blood tests that it will not be covered under hospitalisation??
