Deliberate Delay in Surgery Approval & Unjustified Medical Investigation

I’m extremely disappointed in how FedHealth has handled my urgent medical case. After being diagnosed with fibroids for the first time ever in April 2025 and being told I need urgent surgery, I’ve been subjected to a frustrating investigation despite disclosing all medical history truthfully.

They requested and received forms from both my GP and gynaecologist — then suddenly demanded records from a doctor I haven’t seen in over 3 years, along with my actual scan image, even though a professional report was already submitted. I was informed when I joined that no waiting periods app****, yet here I am almost a month later, still in pain, still waiting.

I’ve now escalated this matter to the Council for Medical Schemes and will not hesitate to pursue further legal or public action if this isn’t resolved urgently. The way this has been handled feels like a deliberate attempt to avoid covering necessary surgery.

Do better. People’s health is not a game.
