Chronic medication denied

My husband has been a loyal member of Fedhealth for nearly 16 years. We have never claimed for chronic medication in all this time, however, now in October when I try to register for chronic medication for myself for severe iron deficient anaemia it is denied by Fedhealth. This condition has severely compromised my immune system and I have been battling to fight off viruses and illnesses. Surely it makes sense that the medical aid would approve medicines that are going to benefit the client, strengthen their immune system and improve their health so that they don't land up in hospital?<br> They also denied a claim for my daughter for chronic medication at the same time. What a bitter disappointment this has been and a very costly error of judgement on our part. We pay over R5000 per month out of our pockets only to get nothing in return. This will be money much better put to use elsewhere!
