****! I wish there was an option fo not start. Yeeer! I was admitted in hospital for a D&C. I called them before the procedure to check 8f they are going to pay the doctor a full amount. I got a green light. Boom a few days after the procedure, "No, the doctor is not within the network". Really now when I have checked with you before the procedure. Ihad to fork out a lot of money to the doctor Today I got another call from he anesthetic. Mind you it has been two months since the procedure. The anesthetic tells me that my medical aid did not pay him. Like they did not even bother to let me know that there's someone else they had not paid. I am furious with this ******* medical aid. Not he first doing a similar procedure with discovery/bankmed, they paid for everything as always that was done within the hospital premises,and I was paying less. With these guys hospitalization, they coer some doctors within the hospital and they don't disclose if you call them. I was responsible enough to call and check with hem before the proc2and they decided to lie and only give me the info after days. Cancel your membership, if on hospitalization and go for companies discovery VERY unprofessional help from these people. Only receive an sms days after the procedure to say the doctor is not part of the network. I only joined because it was recommended by a colleague, which he's moved to discovery as well because of their unprofessionalism.
