BONITAS .... That is *****ing

My son is on Boncap. Even prior to him finding permanent employment, I insisted that he have a Medical Aid. He is now employed as an apprentice. I am sure most people are aware of the fact that these lads don't earn an enormous salary and to be honest, he can hardly afford a medical aid. The Boncap monthly contributions work according to income (the more you earn, the more you pay). In January, I noticed that Boncap deducted not only the normal contributions of R1270 but an additional R 1780 (this is a lot of money if you only earn R5000). I contacted them and was informed that unfortunately my son was moved to the highest level of income due to the fact that he did not supply proof of income by the end of December,2021. We did not at any time receive notification of outstanding documentation. Upon verification it was found that his E-mail *** was incorrectly captured as *** as well as his telephone number hence no receipt of correspondence. All errors were attended to. We completed the requested proof of income form and the form was submitted to Bonitas. They in turn accepted his form and informed us that he does fall under the lower income bracket. The issue is that Bonitas is not prepared to refund the additional funds deducted in January. This has placed us in the unfortunate position of having to take a loan to just survive. What the Hell Bonitas. For such a large company to do something like this is shocking.
